History

Sri Ram Samaj is charitable society and has been in existence for the past 60 years one of its units is "SRI SITARAM VIDYALAYA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL" which was started in the year 1987 with a view to provide quality education to poor students in West Mambalam. The school has been started with only hundred students. Now it has grown to 2000 students with a dedicated teachers of more than hundred and 25 non teaching staffs.

The school has classes from Pre-KG to XII. The school has well equipped Library, Chemistry, Physics and Biology Labs with good infrastructure. It has a separate computer lab and along with smart class facilities. The medium of instruction is English. Tamil / Sanskrit / Hindi are the second languages. The school is situated near to Bus stand, Railway Station and adequate hospital facilities are available. The fire and police stations are within one kilo metre. A plethora of activities and projects with wide team, effective learning experience, dynamic leadership quality of teaching on par with state and national level are the focus point of performance. Besides, the school maintains and promotes the cultural traditions and value based co-curricular activities to make the students feel proud of their nation. Many artists, charted accountant, advocates, business legends are our alumni. The motto of our school is “Sathyam Vadha” - (Speak Truth). The motto is designed the character of lord “Sri Rama”.
