ENGLISH ORATORICAL COMPETITION WAS CONDUCTED ON 21.06.2023

• NITHYASRI - VIII

English oratorical competition was conducted on 21.06.2023 and prizes were awarded for Yasini of Std VIII and Nithyasri of Std VIII. Drug awareness day was celebrated on 26.6.2023. On 28.06.2023 an animator Mrs.Selvi from Chennai Corporation explained the students of class IV and V about the segregation and disposal of waste.Sarvesh of Std IX-A recited the poem "Say no to drugs". D.Lakshmipathy of Std XII B spoke on the same topic. M.Balaji Kumar of Std XII A delivered a speech about "Drug Addiction and Prevention". Oath was taken by E.Keerthivasan of Std XII B. Kamarajar Birthday was celebrated as "Educational Development Day" on 15.7.2023. Tamil speech about Kamarajar was given by E. Keerthivasan of Std XII B. V.A.Renesh of Std IX-B and S.P.Tharikasri of Std XI B recited Poetry. English miming was presented by the students of class IX on the topic "Importance of Education". Colours Day was celebrated on 15.7.2023 by the students of UKG. Mr.S.Ravichandran, President, Sri Ram Samaj inaugurated the event and distributed prizes to all the students. Awakened Citizen Programme [ACP] was conducted by Mr.Ramanan from Ramakrishna Mutt on 17.7.2023 for the students of Std VI. Pidilite India Ltd conducted a competition to improve the creativity of Std V students on 20.7.2023. Students made pen holders with the provided materials. A seminar was conducted by Mr.Manimaran, representative from the Times of India on the topic 'Save Planet Earth" on 22.7.2023. Students of class IX and XI participated in the programme. National Level Drawing competition for the classes IV to IX was organized on 24.7.2023 based on the topic Fitness and me and World Environment. Art of living - SELF DEVELOPMENT Programme was conducted for 5 days from 24.7.23 to 28.7.23 by Rajayoga Meditation Centre for class IX. A Meditation Programme was organized on 3.8.2023 by Rajayoga meditation centre for the classes IX to XII. Fruits Day was celebrated by tiny tots of LKG on 11.8.2023. The celebration was inaugurated by Mr. A.V.Raman, Secretary of Sri Ram Samaj and Mr. S.Harihar, Treasurer, Sri Ram Samaj.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Apart from preparing the students for academic demands, we give emphasis in preparing our students to face the challenges in the competitive world. S.Rakshitha of V-A participated in the Drawing Competition. S. Aditya and Riyasri of V-A won consolation prize in Silambam competition. V.A.Renesh of IX-B and V. Deepak Selvaraj of V-B won participation certificate in drawing competition. M.Mithuwa of IV-A bagged 2nd prize in Silambam competition. S.Sai Santhosh of VIA and K.Karunya of I-A won green belt in karate. S.P.Kanishka participated in music programme for World Book of Records bagged a shield and certificate. Indian Youth Traditional Silambam Association conducted State level Silambam Championship on 3.8.2023. S.Harish Kumar won gold medal in Silambam [Single Stick] and won bronze in Silambam (sword). Union Christian school conducted a quiz competition on 28.7.2023. M.Krithik, M. Balaji Kumar, K. Sankara Narayanan participated in the competition. Mrs. R. Logavardhini accompanied the students. SBOA Educational Trust conducted a mega inter-school sports quiz Quizza on 18.8.2023 in SBOA Junior college students of class VI to XII participated in the quiz. Mrs. Komathi accompanied the students. Technoviz (2023), in SRM University, Department of Computer Science organized projects related to App Development. A. Ashfath and A.R.Vishnu Varadhan of XII-A bagged 2nd prize in IOT projects which was a Wi-Fi- cloner.
